This Product Change Notification (PCN) serves as formal notice that Guangzhou Robustel Co., Ltd. will improve the RS-485 circuit design of all R5020 series products by adding bias resistors.

The bias resistors will provide a defined differential voltage when the RS-485 bus is idle or open, thereby reducing the risk of communication errors caused by an undefined bus state.

The ordering codes and firmware versions will remain unchanged. Please note that products manufactured before and after the change may be shipped according to stock availability.

This change will take effect in February 2024. Please refer to the PCN for further details.
