Create a Scope of Work in Operations Console

Create a Scope of Work in Operations Console

A Scope of Work (SOW) records the software and hardware requirements for installing a set of routers. In Operations Console, create one to give installers a consistent description of the device series, firmware, apps and other installation details.

Before you begin: Sign in to the correct RCMS company with access to Operations Console. Gather the target device series, firmware, app and SIM requirements for the installation.

Create a Scope of Work

  1. Select Operations Console in the top navigation and open Provisioning.
  2. Open Router Provisioning and select CREATE.
  3. Enter an SOW name, then select the device series and firmware version. Choose any pre-installed applications required for the installation.
  4. Enter the SIM and other relevant installation information, review the details and select SAVE.

For example, give a site deployment a descriptive name so installers can distinguish its SOW from other projects. Choose the actual firmware, app and SIM details for the intended devices.

Review and download

Find the saved SOW in Router Provisioning. Use its download action to obtain a ZIP file containing the SOW in Word and PDF formats and files uploaded with it.

The device series cannot be changed when editing an existing SOW. Review the series before saving the initial SOW.
