How to Update Firmware via RCMS

Prerequisites

1. Device must be:
  1. Registered in RCMS platform
  2. Connected to RCMS
  3. Online status

Update Process

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access RCMS platform
2. Locate the device:
  1. Through Groups navigation
  2. OR use "View All Devices" and search by:
  3. Serial number
  4. Device name
3. Navigate to Firmware tab:
  1. Can be found at device level
  2. OR at group level for bulk updates
4. Select Update Parameters:
  1. Choose Series
  2. Select Firmware
  3. Pick Version
  4. Click "Update" button


Important Notes

  1. Ensure device remains powered during update
  2. Update process includes automatic device reboot
  3. Monitor device status during update
  4. Update takes approximately 5-10 minutes

Troubleshooting

If the update fails:
  1. Verify device is still online
  2. Check RCMS connectivity
