Generate a configuration file from an online device when you need to review or download its current configuration. The file can be kept as a record before making further configuration changes.
Before you begin: Sign in to the company account containing the device and check that the device is online. Configuration file generation is not supported for non-RobustOS devices.
Generate and download the file
- In RobustLink, open View All Devices and select the device's serial number.
- Open the Configuration tab and select GENERATE CONFIG FILE.
- Wait for RCMS to generate the file.
- Select View to inspect it in the browser, or select Download to save it locally.
- Check your browser's downloads if you chose to download the file.
Warning: Configuration files can contain sensitive settings. Store the file securely and share it only with authorised people.
Generating a file does not itself apply a new configuration to the device.
