How to Connect the R1520-LG Basic Station to Netmore LNS

Overview

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to connect a Robustel R1520-LG LoRaWAN gateway to the Netmore LoRaWAN Network Server (LNS) using the Basic Station protocol. The process involves configuring the gateway on the Netmore portal and setting up the packet forwarder on the R1520-LG's web interface, including importing the necessary TLS certificate.

What You'll Need

Hardware:

· 1 x Robustel R1520-LG Gateway

· Power supply for the gateway

· Ethernet cable or other means to connect the gateway to the internet

· A computer with a web browser

Software/Firmware:

· Access to the Netmore LoRaWAN Portal

· Access to the R1520-LG WebUI

· The Netmore TLS Certificate (tc.trust)

Prerequisites:

· The R1520-LG gateway is powered on and connected to the network.

· You have the default gateway ID (GwEUI) of your R1520-LG4.

· You have the necessary Netmore LNS server information (URI and TLS Certificate).

Step-by-Step Configuration Guide

The configuration is performed in two main parts: first on the Netmore LoRaWAN Portal and then on the R1520-LG's web interface.

Part 1: Configure the Gateway on the Netmore LoRaWAN Portal

1. Log in to the Netmore LNS Portal:

Log in to the LoRaWAN Portal using your credentials ( username/ password).

· Complete any other required fields (e.g., Serial Number, Frequency Plan, Gateway License).

1.Confirm Creation:
Click the CREATE button to register your gateway on the Netmore LNS.
Part 2: Configure the R1520-LG Gateway

The configuration on the gateway side involves setting the LNS type, configuring the Packet Forwarder, and importing the necessary certificate

2.Select External LNS:

· Log in to the R1520-LG WebUI.

· Navigate to LoRaWAN > LoRa Settings.

· On the General Settings tab, change the LoRaWAN Network Server to External NS.

· Click the Submit button.

2. Configure Packet Forwarder Settings:

· Stay in the LoRaWAN > LoRa Settings section and navigate to the Packet Forwarder tab.
