This document provides step-by-step instructions for installing applications on your Robustel gateway through the App Center interface. The App Center allows you to extend device functionality by installing additional applications for specific protocols, languages, or services. After installation, some applications may require a device reboot to become fully operational.

What You Will Need

  • Access to the Robustel web management interface with administrator privileges
  • Application file in supported format (typically .rpk)
  • Basic understanding of the application's purpose and requirements

Step-by-Step Configuration Guide

Step 1: Access the App Center

  1. Log in to the Robustel web management interface using administrator credentials (username: admin)
  2. From the left navigation menu, click on 【App Center】 to access the application management interface
  3. The main display area shows application installation options and currently installed application

Step 2: Upload Application File

  1. In the 【Install】 section, click the 【Choose File】 button
  2. Select the application package file from your local computer or storage device
  3. The selected filename will appear next to the choose file button once selected

Step 3: Install the Application

  1. After selecting the application file, click the 【Install】 button to begin installation
  2. The system will validate the application package and check for available space
  3. Monitor the 【App Usage】 indicator (724.0KB Free/4.0MB Total) to ensure sufficient space

Step 4: Reboot if Required

  1. If the installation completes successfully, you will see a reboot prompt: "Operation successfully completed. Do you want to reboot immediately?"
  2. Click 【OK】 to reboot immediately or 【Cancel】 to postpone the reboot

Verification and Testing

  1. Check the 【Installed Apps】 list to confirm your application appears
  2. Verify the 【Status】 column shows "Running" for active applications
  3. Confirm the application description matches expected functionality

Troubleshooting/FAQ

Q1: The installation fails with "insufficient space" error. What can I do?

  • Check current space usage in the 【App Usage】 section
  • Remove unused applications to free up space
  • Ensure the application package size doesn't exceed available space

Q2: The application installs but status shows "Stopped" instead of "Running"

  • Check that the application is open
  • Verify compatibility with your device model and firmware version
  • Try rebooting the device to activate the application
