How to Set up Remote Device Access with RobustVPN

This guide explains how to configure remote access to devices (like web interfaces) through RobustVPN.

Prerequisites

  1. RCMS account
  2. Robustel Gateway with RCMS connection
  3. Device with web interface in router's LAN
  4. PC for remote access

Configuration Steps

1. Create RobustVPN Group


  1. Navigate to RCMS > RobustVPN > Manage VPN Groups
  2. Click "Create"
  3. Set type as "Virtual IP + Pushed Subnet"
  4. Click "Next" and add your device to that group

2. Add User Access

  1. Go to Users
  2. Click "Add"
  3. Add the user to the VPN group created in Step 1

3. Verify Router VPN Configuration

  1. Check the router's status in RCMS
  2. Verify VPN connection is established
  3. Note the assigned VPN IP address

4. Setup Remote PC

  1. Download RobustVPN client application from Support > RVPN Manager
  2. Install the client
  3. Launch RobustVPN
  4. Log in with user credentials
  5. Connect to the VPN group

6. Access Remote Device

  1. Wait for the VPN connection to establish
  2. Access the device's web interface using its LAN IP
  3. Verify connectivity

Troubleshooting

  1. Ensure the router is online in RCMS
  2. Check VPN connection status
  3. Verify subnet configuration
  4. Confirm firewall settings allow traffic, both gateway and LAN device

Notes

  1. All devices in the configured subnet will be accessible
  2. No need to configure individual device routes
  3. Connection is secure through VPN tunnel
