Robustel Statement: Robustel Products Not Affected by the FCC Consumer-Grade Router Update

Dear Customer / Partner,

On March 23, 2026, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced an update to its Covered List relating to foreign-made consumer-grade routers. According to the FCC, new device models within this scope are prohibited from receiving FCC equipment authorization and therefore cannot be newly imported, marketed, or sold in the United States. Previously authorized models may continue to be imported, sold, and used.

Based on the published scope of the announcement, this action applies to consumer-grade routers only as defined by NIST Internal Report 8425A
— networking devices primarily intended for residential use and installable by the customer.

The NIST scope explicitly distinguishes consumer-grade from enterprise and industrial equipment.

Robustel’s portfolio is focused on industrial and enterprise networking equipment, and we do not manufacture consumer-grade routers within that category. On that basis, we do not believe this announcement affects Robustel products.

The FCC has also confirmed that existing FCC-authorized device models can continue to be imported, sold, and used.

We will continue to monitor any further regulatory clarification and will provide updates if needed.
