R5020 Upgrade Path from RobustOS 3.1.x to RobustOS 5.x

Overview

R5020 devices running RobustOS 3.1.x cannot be upgraded directly to RobustOS 5.x in all cases. Devices running firmware versions earlier than v3.1.8 must first be upgraded to v3.1.8 before upgrading to RobustOS 5.x.

Upgrade Procedure

Step 1: Check Current Firmware Version

Navigate to:

Dashboard → Status

Verify the current firmware version.

Step 2: Upgrade to v3.1.8

If the device is running a firmware version earlier than v3.1.8, upgrade to v3.1.8 first.

Step 3: Upgrade to RobustOS 5.x

After the device has been upgraded to v3.1.8 or later, perform the standard upgrade procedure to RobustOS 5.x.

Important Notes

  • Direct upgrade from firmware versions earlier than v3.1.8 to RobustOS 5.x is not supported.
  • Back up the device configuration before upgrading.
  • Ensure the firmware package matches the device model.
  • Do not power off the device during the upgrade process.
