Passenger WiFi can present portal content in multiple languages. Add and enable translations so guests can select a language, and choose the default language shown when they open the portal.
Before you begin: Sign in to the correct RCMS company, open the portal template and prepare the translated text. The portal supports up to ten added languages.
Add a language
- In RobustLink, open Passenger WiFi > Portal Manager and select the template.
- Open Multi-Language and select Add Language.
- Enter a language name and the portal content in that language, then save.
- Select Manage Languages and enable the language so it can be selected on the portal.
Choose the default and update devices
- In Manage Languages, select an enabled language as the default and save.
- Select Update Template to send the updated language content to the devices.
- Review the update history for the result.
Warning: Updating the portal template restarts the captive portal service on devices receiving the update. Consider the effect on connected guests.
Use Edit Language to revise an existing translation. A language must be disabled before it can be deleted; update the template after making changes to apply them to devices.
For the portal template workflow, see Create a Passenger WiFi Portal Template in RCMS.
