Configure Passenger WiFi Session Limits in RCMS

Configure Passenger WiFi Session Limits in RCMS

Passenger WiFi session settings let you control guest usage on selected portal devices. You can set session time, data and bandwidth limits and specify when allowances reset.

Before you begin: Sign in to the correct RCMS company and identify the portal devices to update. The devices must be online to receive the session settings.
Warning: Saving session settings sends the changes to the selected devices and restarts the captive portal service. Choose a suitable time and consider the impact on connected guests.

Set session limits

  1. In RobustLink, open Passenger WiFi > Portal Manager and select the portal template.
  2. Open Devices and select the online devices to update.
  3. Select SESSION SETTINGS.
  4. Set the limits required for your service, including download and upload allowances, session time, reset time and bandwidth limits.
  5. Review the selected devices and settings, then select SAVE.
  6. Check the template's update history for the operation result.

When a client exceeds an allowance, it cannot log in again until the allowance resets. Choose limits and a reset time that match your guest Wi-Fi policy.
