Device group reports bring selected data from devices in a group into a downloadable report. Use a one-time report to investigate a period, or schedule reports to review device traffic, signal and connection history regularly.

Before you begin

Sign in to RCMS, select your company and open RobustLink. You need a device group containing the devices to include and permission to manage its reports. See Create a Device Group in RobustLink.

Create a group report

1. Open Device Groups and select the device count on the group’s card to open the group.
2. Open the Reports tab and click Add Report.
3. Enter a report name and export file name. Add a description if useful.
4. Choose a Generation Type: for Single Generation, select a data period; for Periodic Generation, set the frequency, schedule date and time. The schedule time is displayed in UTC.
5. Select the report parameters and target devices, then click Save. Clear any preselected parameters you do not need.

The example below shows a weekly report for signal strength and RCMS connection history. The R1510 search result is shown; select the checkbox next to the devices you want to include before saving.

Example: To review connection history and signal strength every week, enter Weekly connectivity report as the report name and weekly-connectivity as the export file name. Select Periodic Generation, set Frequency to Weekly, Schedule Date to Monday, and Schedule Time (UTC) to 9:00. Select Signal Strength and RCMS Connection History, then select the devices to include. Choose a schedule and devices appropriate for your own group.

View and download a report

1. In the group's Reports tab, find the report and select View Generated Report list in its Action column.
2. When the report is Ready, select the download icon in its Action column.
