Create and Manage Remote Access Links in RobustLink

Remote Access creates temporary links for accessing supported device services through a browser. Use a time-limited link when you need remote access to a device interface, and remove the link when it is no longer required.

Before you begin: Sign in to the correct RCMS company with permission to access the device. Confirm that the target service is configured and you have the necessary device credentials.
Warning: A remote access link grants a path to a device service. Choose an appropriate validity period, share links only with authorised people and do not publish links or credentials.

Generate a link

  1. In RobustLink, open View All Devices and select the device's serial number.
  2. Open Remote Access and select GENERATE LINK.
  3. Select the required protocol and review the port. Set the Validity Period.
  4. Select GENERATE. Find the link in the generated records and open or copy it to your browser.
  5. Authenticate to the target service as required.

For RDP, provide the address and port of the target computer and enable remote access on that computer. SFTP is available for RobustOS Pro devices.

Review or end a link

Open Valid Links to review active links and their expiry. Use UPDATE to change a link's validity period, or use its delete action and confirm to end it early. The updated validity period is calculated from the current time.

Open Link History to review previous link records and any available error details.

The former Remote UI feature has reached end of service. See the Remote UI Feature End-of-Life Notification.
