Edge2Cloud(E2C) Factory Software Installation Manual

Software Management

1. Software Acquisition

If the E2C Factory software is not pre-installed on the gateway before leaving the factory, you can install it yourself by following the steps in Section 2. The installation package can be obtained by contacting sales or customer service.

2. Installing the Software

In Robustel's edge computing gateways, the data acquisition software can be installed online directly through the gateway console. The specific operation steps are as follows:

  • Preparation

Prepare the necessary installation package, such as: e2c-factory-x.x.x.x.rpk

  • Step 1

Power on the gateway, open a browser and access http://192.168.0.1. Enter the username (default is admin) and password (default is admin) to log in.

The firmware version information can be viewed from the gateway's WEB home page, as shown in the figure below. Firmware version requirement: >= 2.3.106.

  • Note:

If the version is lower, please contact customer service or sales personnel to obtain the latest firmware for upgrade. For specific upgrade operations, please refer to the "ROSpro User Manual".

  • Step 2

Click [System] - [App Center], select the file, click [Install], and click the "OK" button in the pop-up window to complete the installation. The device will automatically reboot. After logging in again and entering this page, you can see that the APP has been installed successfully.

3. Uninstalling the Software

You can select e2c-factory in [System] - [App Center] to perform uninstallation operations.

Uninstalling APP: Click [System] - [App Center], and click "X".


Click the "OK" button to complete the uninstallation, and the device will automatically reboot.

After logging in again and entering this page, you can see that the APP has been uninstalled successfully.

4. Enabling and Disabling

In the edge computing gateway, the data acquisition software is enabled by default.

Click the Enable toggle switch under [Edge Computing] - [E2C Factory] to switch between enabling and disabling.

5. Entering the Software Main Interface

After the installation is complete, you can find the [Edge Computing] menu item in the left menu bar or at the top. Click it to open the operation page of the E2C Factory software.

The operation page will open in a new tab, presenting the software's main page as shown in the figure below.
