Forward an Edge2Cloud point table to a gateway when you are ready to use the defined points on that device. RCMS lets you select target gateways and review the result of the operation.

Before you begin

• Sign in to RCMS, select your company and open RobustLink.
• Create and review the point table. See Create an Edge2Cloud Point Table in RCMS.
• Make sure the target gateway has been added to RCMS and is set up for the Edge2Cloud solution. Check that the table's point and connection settings match the equipment connected to that gateway.

Forward a point table

1. Select Edge2Cloud in the left menu and open Point Table Tool.
2. Open the point table you want to forward and select the Forward to Gateway tab.
3. Click Forward to Gateway. Find the target device using its name, serial number or model; you can also filter by group or tag.
4. Select the checkbox for each target gateway under Available Devices. Review the gateways in Selected Device(s), then click Save to forward the table.

For example, search for R1510 and select the intended gateway in Available Devices. The selected gateway appears under Selected Device(s); use the remove icon there if you selected the wrong device.

Check the result

Return to the point table's Forward to Gateway tab and review the device's Operation Result. If the operation does not succeed, check the target gateway and point table settings before retrying.
