Run an LED Test in Operations Console

Use the LED Test in Operations Console to help identify an online device at a site. The test makes the device's USR indicator flash and records the result in the test history.

Before you begin: Sign in to the correct RCMS company with access to Operations Console. Identify the target device by its serial number and make sure it is online. A device without a USR indicator cannot perform this test.

Run the LED test

  1. Open Operations Console > Tech Support, then select LED Test.
  2. Enter the serial number of the device you want to identify.
  3. Select START and review the result on the page.
  4. Ask the person at the site to observe the USR indicator: it flashes five times for the test. The result is also added to Result History.
