Your RCMS company account brings together the devices, users and settings for your organization. Use the Company Account page to review its details, add a description, set a default company and configure the email account RCMS uses to send notifications. If you belong to more than one company, you can switch between them.
If you have access to more than one company, choose the company whose information you want to view or update.
If the company is not listed, ask its administrator to invite you. See Invite a User to an RCMS Company Account.
The page shows the company name and ID, along with its email settings, description and default account setting. The company ID identifies the selected company.
Use Description to help identify the company account and its purpose. For example, the RCMS Experience Center description explains that it is a demonstration account for partners and customers.
Email Settings connects an outgoing email account to RCMS so that configured notifications, alerts and reports can be sent by email. For example, RCMS can use your company’s email account to send a device offline alert to the people responsible for that device.
The address entered here is the sender. Set up the recipients and the relevant alerts or reports separately. If Email Settings is empty, alerts remain available in RCMS, but email alerts are not sent.
The example below uses alerts@example.com, smtp.example.com and port 465 to show how the fields can be filled. Replace them with the settings supplied by your email provider; the provider may require an app-specific password or authorization.
If the test email does not arrive, check the provider’s server, port and authentication details, and check the recipient’s spam or junk folder.
If you belong to more than one company, you can choose which one opens by default when you sign in.
