Update a Passenger WiFi Portal Template in RCMS

Edit a Passenger WiFi portal template when its welcome content, terms or Wi-Fi settings need to change. Saving the template updates the settings in RCMS; update the selected devices to send the revised template to them.

Before you begin: Sign in to the correct RCMS company and identify the portal and devices to update. Prepare the revised content and consider the effect on Wi-Fi users before applying changes.

Edit and preview the template

  1. Open RobustLink > Passenger WiFi and select Portal Manager.
  2. Open the portal template card and select EDIT.
  3. Change the required fields and review the portal preview. For example, update the introduction text for a new service notice.
  4. Select SAVE to save the template.
  5. Select PREVIEW on the template page to review the portal design.

Update devices

Warning: Devices receiving a template update restart their captive portal service. Choose a suitable time and consider the effect on connected guests.
  1. On the template page, open the Devices tab.
  2. Select the devices that should receive the updated template and select UPDATE TEMPLATE.
  3. Review the update history for the result.

Online devices receive the update; offline devices are updated to the latest template when they register with the platform.
