Zero Touch update history shows the result of template applications for each device. Use it after deploying a template to check progress, inspect the files involved and identify devices that need attention. You can also cancel a pending application before the device begins updating.
Sign in to the RCMS company account containing the devices. To prepare and deploy a template, see Create a Zero Touch Template and Apply a Zero Touch Template to Devices.
The history can show Success, Failed, Time Out, Updating or Pending. A cancelled application is shown as Cancelled. Review the details for unsuccessful updates before deciding what to do next.
The example below shows a successful application of the 1511 template to an R1511 device. Requested Date is when the application was requested; Actioned Date shows when it was actioned. Update Timer shows the selected timing, and Update Status shows the result.
Select Details in the More column to see the individual files and their results. In this example, the configuration update succeeded.
After a successful update, check that the device reconnects and operates as expected.
If an application is Pending and the device has not started updating, select the cancellation icon next to its status in Update History. Check the record after cancellation; its status can appear as Cancelled. Once an update has started, do not assume that cancelling a pending action will reverse changes already applied.
